1855 1/- pale brown Swan, imperforate with swan watermark, unused – without gum, no thins, tears or bends. Has a Brandon photo-certificate.

The catalogue value for mint examples for these early WA issues is for MNG (mint no gum). The gum that was used during this period rapidly turned black and damaged the paper, so had to be washed off.
