1902 8d emerald Postage Due, blank base, upright crown NSW watermark, perf. 12:12, cancelled to order – has a HOBART 14 OC 1909 cancel and hinged gum, no thins, tears or bends.

The date of this cancellation suggests that it was applied to obsolete stock, the bi-coloured Postage Dues inscribed AUSTRALIA had been introduced a few months earlier.
